Smile Newby(pic)

Hi I found this site when I was looking on the computer. My newby story is when I caught the Oregon state record smallmouth. That day I was suposed to umpire a baseball game, we (my dad, brother and myself) went to the game there was water on the field, the game was rained out. So we went home, I changed into my fishing gear. So we went to Hagg Lake. It was a rainy day. When we got there we started fishing along the shore. We were only there for about five minutes and my dad got a big hit, so and he handed me the rod. It fought really well. It took about five minutes to real in. When we got it in my dad wanted to let it go, then me and my brother convenced him to keep it. We didn't get another fish that day.
The next day when my dad was at work he called my mom to see if she could get the fish weighed at the supermarket. She did. The fish weighed 8.11 pounds the length and girth was 24in.x18in. She came to my school to tell me the weight, she said it was 8 pounds 11 ounces.
When the Bill Monroe, from the news paper, came to my house to interview me. When he was here, that's when we found out that the fish was 8.11 pounds, not 8 pounds 11 ounces.
When Bill put the article in the paper a taxidermist wanted to do my fish. The guys name is Dave Smith, he is one of the best taxidermists in Oregon and he owns Dave Smith decoys.
Soon my Dave is going to be done with my fish. Here is the PIG

Nice Fish!

Way to go!! Just to let you know, a fish cant be 8.11 lbs, unless your scale measures to the nearest hundredth of a pound.
