I just went down 2 weeks ago for school, I tried to find the Tea Party rally, especially after the teachers said that they were all lunatics and the chaperone was a democrat.
It is pretty neat though, even though we didn't have much time to really observe anything closely. |

I went there for the first time about 3 years ago. I drove a van of graduate students (including my wife) down to visit some libraries there. I walked around on my own and was really surprised by all that the city has to offer. I walked over to Arlington National Cemetery and suggest you visit there too. It really makes you realize the sacrifices made for our great country. I do suggest taking the subway to get over there though, it was a long walk.
