Default Need to know what this is.

I am seeing something mounted on the transom of alot of bass boats in my area. It looks like PVC pipe mounted on the starboard rear of the transom. It extends from bottom of hull to above the engine cowl about 24". What is this thing?

I wonder if you could just put a "claw" foot on it to keep you from rotating in the wind or current. Might save a lot of $$$!

Thanks to Shaw Grigsby taking the site fishing game to another level by using two of the power poles (with remote controls). You'll see all the pros with them by the end of this spring fishing season.
