It very much effects fish-it is a major part of their environment. It controls their metabolism-temperature-as well as how they relate to structure, cover, etc.

When to fish for them? Anytime you can . Seriously, it depends on where you are. If it is stil cold water-55 and below-go during the warmest time of the day, say noon to 4. That gives the water a chance to warm up and pull the bass outofthe shallows.

rrw,
try getting a cheap barometer and keep track of your days catch and compare to the barometer reading..often times its on the weather channel all day any way , you'll see it range in the 29-30 range, and also notice perhaps its hard fishing when its rising and better when its falling

fish are cold blooded critters, they are living, breathing-sorta- swimming beast that is affected by changes in air pressure, and tempture changes. these 2 changes dictate where the bait fish will be. as there can not be bait fish with out a predater present-this is just the way things are ment to be-catching that predater is a totally differant thing. it causes many an upstanding man to waste his entire foutune trying to find the greatest catching device-err chrome plated wizz bang-some of these upstanding fellows have rooms full of substute lures.

am i going to fast fer ya?

Yes, but you don't get to pick and choose the weather. Go when you can. What's the worst that will happen? (Assuming we're not talking hurricanes, tornadoes, or major league thunderstorms)

1. If it's raining you'll get wet.
2. You won't catch any fish, which is the exact same number of fish you'd have caught if you didn't go at all.

The best time to go is any day that ends in Y.

The cold fronts do make the fishing suck some, but that can be overcome. Â*The main thing that gets me as a shore fisherman is the high water that all these rains have brought in. Â*It because all the ponds that I fish fluctuate so much that all this rain has soaked up a lot of area around the ponds making it hard to get up close enough to cast into.
