Dif. jerk motions make a world of diference on the glide of the bait, a hard jerk will make the head go downwards, if your popping it way to hard it may come out of the water , some use a swivel and leader of 18 inches, and also a big hook is recommended

What is a Jerk Worm? I have a few packs of a now-discontinued product, Culprit Jerk Worms, which is a soft jerkbait, but it sounds like you're talking about something else.

Marty, I still have the culprit jerk worms. I thought that was what he was talking about, but didn't post because I always seem to get side tracked on another subject at hand, instead of what was originally posted. ;D P N J

Thanks for the picture 3D . you've been around long enough to have seen the original jerkworm, have you ever fished them ?I use to stroll with them by letting enough line out for the bait to bump along bottom every once in a while when first started tournaments and was fishing as a non boater.Back then I caught alot of fish when paired up with those guys who were constantly on thier trolling motors catching the aggressive fish.I started alternating the jerkworm with a Arkie spider grub fished the same way and got in the money bracket a few times by doing this.I didn't have a boat back then to learn any other way to fish them but they would catch decent fish with very limited knowledge to fish them.C-bird bait

No, I've never used them. Too many plastics, not enough money or time to fish them all.
I appreciate the "you've been around long enough..." You trying to say something ????
