goin out
ok well im gettin ready to head out with some friends, they dont bass fish so i grab some shinners and hit a wildlife pond thats stocked. the bass last time just stared at the shinners with not attempt to compete or anything for that bait. I see numerous beds and dont know if its possible that fish get "weirded" out pre-spawn?
lol it has my head spinning

Try using a light leader, thin weir hook, and the smallest you can get away with. And a light split shot.
Good luck!

are they scared of the bait or scared of you??? post is kind of confusing..... might want to try to catch some bream (sunfish, crappie) whatever is on the pond and use that for bait..... they might not just be used to shiners...........
they might be scared of you so make long cast hope you catch some fish
