Cabela's!
I have a card that allows me to buy any non-sale item in the store at the employee discount price all weekend. My wife and I went out there tonight (4 miles from our house ) and picked up a few clothing items for Christmas gifts and a few things for ourselves as well. Every item we bought was 25% off with the employee discount -- cool! My fishing buddy and I plan to be waiting in the parking lot when they open their doors at 8:00 tomorrow morning, and I plan to be feeding the bait monkey most of the morning. I'm pretty sure there is a $74.99 (discounted price) Abu Garcia Veritas rod with my name on it.

Well, the monkey is well-fed now! I spent 3.5 hours at Cabela's this morning and came home with an array of loot -- hooks, dropshot sinkers, snap swivels, snaps, new net for the boat, spinnerbaits, lipless rattletraps, square-bill crankbaits, many packs of 5" senkos, several spools of Invisx and Power Pro line and....a Veritas rod. Most of it was 20% or 25% off, although there were a few things that were "only" 15% off. After all was said and done, my total bill was 21% lower than it would have been without the employee discount pricing. It was a fun morning to say the least.

That is quite a haul there Dean... sounds like you got a jump on the monkey early this year... now what are you going to buy in the coming months?? Also, don't we have about six more months until ice-off?

Yes, that's exactly the problem...188 more days until 2012 bass opener here, not that I'm counting. I'm sure I will buy lots more stuff to excess just like I do every off-season.
