Their for a shaky head, or when ever you wanna use a jig head with some kind of plastic on it when it's weedy, or around hang ups!
You put the nose of the bait through the screw and than but the hook in make it weedless.... Good luck, and good fishin'!

Those look like Buckeye Lures Spot Removers shaky jigheads to me. They really work great - especially with zoom finesse worms.

shakey head, yes. wannabe's, no.
Personally, one of my favorite shaky heads. That and the Owner ones with the twist lock spring keeper. BB

Mayhap thou meant "Impale the nasal protruberance of the selected soft plastic vermiform lure on the wee spike to be found on the upper posterior aspect of the metal hook-bearing device pictured in the original posting." Silly me! Of COURSE that's what you meant to say. Lancer6 |

Those things hang up like crazy in brush though they do make you worms stand up nice.

I love the spot remover, but it definitely is better for hard bottom, the flat head hangs up in brush a lot worse than a round one. I like to fish them with the thicker finesse worms.

As a shaky head. I'm however, not very good at it. I'll let someone else tell ya what works for them cause I haven't found what works for me yet.

Let it fall to the bottomw, then try to sneak it back to the boat, without anything seeing it.

yeah basically that catches fish..... i have caught tons of fish on that bait..... throw it out (my favorite is a rocky drop off) and let it fall and drag it and when it hits somethin different... lets say smaller rock or larger rock just shake it ... barely shake your rod.....

My method is to slowly drag them back around cover and when I hit a submergde branch or something I pull tight against it and shake the crap out of it making the weight strike the object. This causes a lot of noise drawing attention and if a fish is near and the color is suitable this will usually draw a strike.
Hope this makes sence, i just got back from a night out and my screens a bit blurry. |

Yep, that's the basic idea. It's a very finesse style, so patience is the key. Drag it or lightly pop it. I don't usually have the patience for it, but when I do, it works.

Call me a liar
But really, that's the way I heard somebody explain it. It needs such a slow, timid approach, "sneaking" it is the best way to describe the technique.
