Default New custom crankbait color

Here it is.....Smitty Shad by Fish'n Art

Top one is the final product except for a small amount of chart. just in front of the first hook. Bottom one is the Poe's that started it all.

Can't wait to test it out this weekend.

Thats really sweet. But can I ask a question (or 3)? Do you just airbrush them? Does it take artistic ability? Cause im wondering if my brother can do em cause he is great artisticly (i cant draw a circle or straight line).

I don't do them. Donnie at Fish'n Art does them for me. He does replicas as a side job when he isn't chasing bad guys. He does airbrush them. You really have to see his work up close. He's got a shad pattern that he does in which you can see the tiny scales. He does his bluegill pattern the same way, scale by scale, or at least it looks that way. Amazing stuff for the cost ($6 per bait to repaint them).

Going to get out on Potomac this weekend. Got some vacation starting Friday with a half day so I may head down on Anna for the afternoon but will be out as much as I can on the river next week. Championship Teams, LAPR, and Warbirds are having tournaments on the river this month.

You need to come up and fish the river with me this month or next!

Another pic of Donnie's work

Real is right!! I doubt anyone has seen a better shad than the one on the bottom. Now you know why I like his work!

Repaints run $6 or more, new baits $10-12.

He's got a Facebook page now. You should look him up and check out his other stuff.

I am but I don't sell online. More of a family type of thing. If you need some tubes I've got plenty of stuff and getting more all the time. I'm working on upgrading the website. Only have 15 or so colors listed but I'm up over 30 now with 3" and 4" tubes.

Wow, that shad looks amazing, I would have though it was a real one! When I get some spare cash, I'll have to get a few cranks from him.

That bottom one matches what the bass on the Potomac feed on in the spring time. It's the perfect size. Chatterbaits that match the colors just slay them too.
