First Deer!
I finally did it. After the disaster last year (missed a big deer last year) I was able to put one down finally. The best part was I got to experience it with my father. Now that he is back in Michigan he is my fishing partner in the summer and hunting partner in the winter. It came in on the second morning around 9:00 am and was found a little while later (ran about 50 yards). I was using a Winchester Model 70 .300WSM and a Leupold VX-IV 3.5-10 scope.
One with Dad and I. And I don't remember much after this.... |

Congrats on the first deer.... hunting can be as addicitve as fishing! Us northern boys need something to do when the water gets hard.

Congratulations man! That's a nice first deer. I'll always remember my first. Cool that you got to experience it with your dad, way to go!

Thanks guys. I'm not sure what he weighed. I would guess over 150 pounds. I know it sucked pulling it through the swamp, even with a sled (4 guys taking turns)!

Looks like yall had a pretty good time! Not the biggest rack, but the deer it's self looks pretty big.

Nice deer Drew and I like the rack ( and I like racks ). My first deer was with a Datsun B210. I bet some of the younger guys never heard of one of those.
