reading all the advice from you guys i think he did the best possible thing ..being a registered nurse when i'm not bassfishin...i know these things....now the trick is keep it clean and dry and not let it get infected....the easy part was getting it out....hehehe.....

For future episodes, numb area with ice, cut shank, push through. If thats not up your alley. Small straw(swizel stick if hollow) cut shank, feed straw along shank, when the straw goes over the barb hook will slide out. Sound kinda funky but it does work. Yanking w/ pliers does work, but if the hook is around a nerve, tendon, muscle, vein, it could cause a lot of damage and cost you a lot more than a ER bill. I prefer the pushing it through method, less chance of tearing anything. Hurts like hell but usually leaves the least amount of damage.

toe tatoos lol. i should take a poll of tatooers who tell where most people want their tatoos. i bet all my money none would say the toes

did i? musta forgot. and fyi if i did send it, it was from a movie we watched in health about injuries. it showed how to make a splint, soft or rigid splint, a cast, sling, or treat an embedded object. the guaze applies for knives or thumbtacks. didnt say about hooks
