get the extended warranty on the moter only.. the one for the boat only is a waste of money..

there a dead even -now-belive it or not..the price is the only differance. that and finding a dealer that will put what moter YOU want on the back of it..
in 07 toon guys finally concieded and gave in to angler's complaints about the lack of a built in cooler..08 have them -27qt-i found this was the missing link in the toons.. i am heavily debating both as my next boat. storage, layout, fit n finish are almost the excate same.as i stated above price and moter options is were the differance lies.. zooker

Hey guys, appreciate the info, looks like I'm prob going to have to go used instead. I'm looking at a '99 stratos 295 xl with a 200 johnson on it. don't know about the johnson, What do you think? I'll do the norm check list but don't know about there reputation.

Zooker hit it right this time. STAY away from the ficht motors ....numerous problems The venoms,GT's, Fast Strike.s all have different fuel technology and r4eally are realitivly trouble freee. One word of advise on ANY OMC motor owners. USE SEAFOAM and keep the RPM's up on them. Since I have been messing around with the OMC's and doing LOTS of research they LIKE rpms.........dont lug em. Lugging them will send them to a early grave.
