water temp was 66.5 air temp 64 with 20-30 mph winds. scattered thunder storms rained on me 3 times. i fished the western half of the lake most all day..caught 7 bass only 2 were keepers. hooked up and broke off a big bass. lost 1 spinner bait broke 2 more. caught my first bass on a froggy- - had the troller on 3 most all day fighting the wind was nearly impossable just had to work with it..when the clouds parted and the sun shone the bite died..at weigh in i had just got my boat on the trailer when the bottom fell out of it. rained like you poured it from a boot for about 5 mintues..
3 cast into the morning i got this one. about 15" striper -not leagel-on a spinner bait-that was fun.. and then later on this beast grabbed my crank bait.. as for the other fish i was to buzy fighting major league wind and waves to take pictures.. i weighed in 5.7 pounds-2 keepers-broke off a big bass wind and waves did not help much. winning weight was 14.7 pounds. second place had 14.3 pounds. i was the only lone angler there was 2 guys in the rest of the boats -6 of them- zooker
