Default No Co's?

I searched real quick to see if someone may have already posted this. BASS has decided not allow co-anglers in the Elite Series next year. Any thoughts?

whatttt .. thats one of the cooler things about the tourneys.. its not all about your main angler.. the co-angler is just as cool to me as the main angler

i bet it saves on ppl arguing on spots to fish and who gets to throw where they want. I am sure the co angler never gets to run the trolling motor.
I'd rather fish by myself, I think ya zone in better on whats happening.

you would also think it makes the angler count on his own skills rather than having somebody elses to fall back on if his plan of attack isn't working, making the competition a little harder

They started the series that way. You paid a couple hundred to sit on the back of the boat to watch the guys fish but I don't think they could fill the 50 boats so they allowed them to start fishing the second year. The main purpose of the co is to make sure the pro isn't cheating. I wonder what they'll do now. And I wonder if this has anything to do with the lawsuit against BASS from the camera guy who got bounced around one time and hurt his neck and back?

These are interesting developments. Strange days, indeed. Don't know where I stand on it yet, but it sure has caused a "ripple" or two at BASS.

That's all they need with the number of members dropping every year. Give people more reason to leave and go fish FLW or local touraments. I'm thinking of ending my membership but primary reason is that they no longer have the Adventures of Harry 'n Charlie in the magazine anymore.

Smitty, I didn't notice that H and C were gone. Thanks for the heads up on that. They're still on the website, though. Any idea why BASS would decide to take them out of the mag?

So they could make the magazine new and fresh and more today! And add a bunch of crap like "How Much is it Worth" - Who really gives a crap how much a 1937 Whizbang 1.7 HP motor is worth? Anyone?
How about one article a year on the baits that are increasing in value or which old baits the pro's really using while on the tour? But who am I to question their decisions?
