Silver Muskie????
Is this fish I caught tonight on the Mississippi River a Silver Muskie?
Caught him on a scum frog the first time he went after it, he did a full back flip out the water and spit it out mid air. The next cast he followed it back and hit just before the boat. |

Don't know much about them but found this......looks more like the Clear than Silver
"There is only one species of Muskie but there are 5 distinct patterns, which are known as Clear, Silver, Barred, Spotted Leopard and Spotted Black Panther." http://www.siouxfloatinglodges.com/b...es-tactics.htm |

After looking at that it does look like a clear muskie. I had no idea that they were in the Mississippi until yesterday. Either way it's my first muskie!

I think it's No. 8. Whatever the La Crosse pool would be.
