I had to hitchhike through the pine barrens once at night. I think it's rte. 579 that runs through it. That's a scary place at night , alone. I was heading down to Tuckerton to visit a friend. I hardly got any rides so I walked most of the way from Manville to Tuckerton. Took me a hella long time, like 18 hours or something like that.
