Capt Dave and I had an chance to fish together tonight in some very humid weather.. We used some new lures and tested some of them and they will work just fine. Since nether of us wanted to push pole the boat around we fished main creek and did rather well. 4 fish in I decided some pics where needed. Fun evening and some great topwater bites.

Gotta love feathered tails. "Walk-the-dog" type lures always work better for me if I tie some material to the tail hook.
Those look great. That is a beautiful Snakehead ... and a pretty Bass, too. |

The lure is called a Zippin Ziggy and I change the rear hook to an Owner feather hook. I keep the old ones for front replacement. The lure is made by Cultiva or Owner depending on package. It has been a staple in my top arsenal for many years. If you look at the pic you see tape on my fingers from broom stick flipping pads. Sadly the tape came after the first hit and the Fireline sliced halfway thru my finger. Typing right now with only one index finger available. The flipping was fun and I never get to do that with clients. They never get to do that either since it requires a skill level that is almost Zen Like. Capt Dave is better than me at it. Anyway it was just fun to fish my way all evening. I never get to do that.
