Default When do you fish?

When you do fish? I am wondering because I go any possible time I can but I don't do too many planned trips to more distant lakes. I've only done one overnight trip this year and very seldom in the past. But even when running in town to do errands I'll take a rod and spend half an hour at the city lake. I'm wondering if it would be worth my while to do a few bigger trips when time allows.

I am fortunate to say that I get a line wet 5-6 days a week. Most of these are local pond fishing on my lunch break and/or before work in the morning. I do get the boat out each weekend. I am able to make a big 3 day weekend trip every 6-8 weeks. My kids' sports keep me from doing this too often.

I fish anytime I can, which hasn't been much lately. So it's kind like the first option.

I am out fishing every day... usually just for 3-5 hours, but I even fish in between college classes.

Most of the time, it's Saturday mornings into early afternoon. But not every Saturday...maybe one or two a month.
Yeah, it's kinda sad, isn't it?

If I don't get a chance to fish at least three times a week, I go into fishing withdrawal. With the hot weather this summer, it's been either real early (barely daylight) or late in the day. With fall coming, all day fishing may be in order.

Like Cassi,I can go everyday on my lunchbreak if I want and get a good 45 minutes in..But with the summer heat its been a Friday after work thing and Saturday mornings when I can...But thats gonna change in the Fall.
I pretty much slip out every chance I get in the late evenings and make the most of it.

Most of my fishing is close local ponds (within 15 minutes), or camping trips with the family... as a matter of fact got a 3 night camping trip this weekend to a lake with poor bass fishing but damn good bluegill fishing.

I guess I'd have to pick #1 or #4. Bender, I do what you do on the errands and call these outings my fishing "stints" because they usually last 20-30 minutes tops. It is pretty much the extent of my fishing because of other obligations.

It really depends on the weather and how busy I am at work. It's been a really hot summer here so I haven't been going out much the last couple of months. In the spring I fished several times a week and anticipate doing the same soon. My trips are mostly 1-3 hours after work, occasional lunch break and extended 3-8 hour weekend excursions.
