As cabin fever sets in the urge to shoot your fridge is overwhelming. The right and wrong way to do this has been documented over many long winters in even colder environments. The decision of gun type and caliber needs to be considered. For instance a 12 gauge with # 8 shot will just knock the paint off. A 22 long rifle will push thru the thin metal and perhaps embed in an old bluefish in the freezer. Or not.. A better choice would be 357 mag in a golden eagle.. full penetration and pass thru. But never shoot from front to back and break the coils..best to shoot from side to side.
Now consider a 12 gauge slug from side to side and some old ham or turkey in the freezer strike area. Now that is the way it is done. This has been a public service notice by Capt Mike Starrett

One should always transfer from front to side the magnet with the honey dew list my choice is 7.62 x 25 goes thru nicely along with say a truck on the other side at 1200 + fps and steel core bullets.Lots of bang , lots of flash, little recoil.
Gosh I hate winter and my porch now has rain freezing to ice. |

NOTE: Please remove beer first. I think I'd give my 5.56 SAP NATO rounds a try.

Hey I wished you a happy birthday the other day. We had a good time at Swatara despite the rain. Capt Dave has really stepped up and handled the excessive requests for fishing trips also. Would like to go back when they fix the river and really get into the the brownies.
Take care my friend. Capt Mike
