Default Just sayin' hi

Thought I would stop lurking and jump in with both feet. My name is Jim and I live in East Tennessee. I was a bass fishing fool through the 80's and early 90's, but two teenage boys and my job took over. Earlier this year I decided to start pursuing my passion again. Having a lot more free time while I'm home and a much better job make it more fun now. I drive a 18 wheeler and am only home on Monday and Tuesday, but I will stop in a run off at the mouth about my favorite pass time every chance I get.

Welcome aboard Driver.
Your past is similar to mine in respect to previous fishing and family/job putting a break in fishing.
I'm loving the time on the water again after getting over the shock of tackle prices.
I have my Class A and drove for my fathers used heavy equipment business only on the side but not since late 90's.
Government job kept me off the water.

Welcome to the place to be O'Hook, glad you could stop in. I too have 3 little boys that limits my water time, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Bubba, my little boys are now 27 and 24, with the youngest being in the Army in South Korea. I've got two grand sons that are 4 and 3.

Nmanley, my government job was what got me started bassin'. Mid 80's I was stationed at Ft. Sill, OK for about 18 months and that place had some killer fishing. I would love to go back there for about a week and see if it's still as good. And I know what you mean about the tackle prices.

What can I say Bama? When I went to sign up it just popped in my head. (It's scarey when things do that!)

Welcome, Jim, and there's nothing wrong with being an old hooker, so long as you're not worn out.

It's definitely the free time that makes fishing worth living for. Just remember, it's like somebody else said: "Work is for people who don't know how to fish."

Glad you decided to jump in and join the fun.

Welcome to the site, Jim.

East Tennessee, that sure is a beautiful part of the Country, very scenic. Looking forward to seeing some pics. We love pictures.
