Default Maps Card trouble please help?

I just aquired a Lowrance LMS480M w/GPS. I am New to fishfinders with Lake map cards. How do I pull up the information that is on the card? I just installed it tonight and was sitting in my driveway trying to access the maps and just got frustrated, Said bag it and decided to ask some online. Please help!! Any info would be great thank you!!

No manual? You can download the manual from Lowrance's website. It's an older unit and I'm not familiar with it. Each unit model has different menu pages to access similiar information. I think that unit uses the older MCC cards and you can use map create or Navioinics MCC cards, so which type of card do you have? I don't know if it's compatiable with the new SD charts. If you didn't get an manual with the unit, best bet would be download one from Lowrance, to learn the operation of this specific unit.
