Default Getting Jiggy with it!!

I made it out today for a lunch time fishing session at the pond on the base. The lunch time bite has been darn slow for the past month, but hey that is summer fishing. Rather than work the weed line like usual, I decided to tie on a jig and work the 10-15 foot depths. The pond is 30 foot at the deepest point, but that deepest point is not reachable.
From the fishing docks and fishable shore, the deep water is usually the 15-20 foot range. I was throwing 1/4 oz black and blue jig with a no name crawdad trailer. I am happy to say that this was a pattern that worked for me. I was able to land 6 bass in about 45 minutes. The biggest of the day was close to 3 lbs.. The only bad thing was having the alarm go off that reminded me it was time to go back to work.
I consider this my first successful jig day on the water. I have caught jig fish when flipping into cover, but I probably doubled my lifetime "open water" totals.

I am fortunate to have a fish pond within 2 miles of my office. Couple that with a 1 hour lunch break and it makes for a good lunch.

Now here's an example of using the search feature. Wanted to find ideas for using jigs from shore to try on a new pond I'm fishing. and bodda bing!

Does anybody else have any suggestions? My experiance with jigs is limited to a few casts here and there and what I've found on Kevins videos.
