Default Goin to Cabelas Saturday!!!!

Ohh man, My summer cabelas trip is saturday. The monkey is in full swing! I have 80 bucks, and have every last bit of it spent LOL! Here is what I am gettin

Rapala Floater size 9 in brown trout
Rapala Floater size 9 in Rainbow
Rapala Countdown CD5 in Brown Trout
Manns Baby 1- in Color 087, forgot to write it down! LOL
Berkely Frenzy Popper in Baby Bass
Berkely Frenzy Popper in Bullfrog
Scum Frog in Black
Scum frog in Natural green black
Arbogast Jitterbug in black
Lunker Lure Buzzbait in Black

Now, what is a whole bunch of new lures, without a new tackle bag?? Nothing LOL, So I am also getting a Cabelas Pro Guide 3600 series bag combo. It comes with 6 boxes to put all my lures in, and has plier holders and cellphone compartment.

Only bad thing, is that I have to go to my aunts sunday, so It will have to wait till monday to be used. LOL!!!

Cant wait. Also any tips on workin the frogs would be appreciated!

I feel sorry for you, a yearly trip to cabelas, I have a bass pro 10 min from my house ! As for the shooping list ,you will probly change your mind on colors when you see them in person. I usaully think I want a certain color by looking at color charts on the net, but allot of times I get a different color when im there and see it in person cause I think it will work better. Just dont limit yourself to those colors, and look at others before you make your desicion.

*drool coming out the side of my mouth* Dang it, I haven't been to Cabela's yet even though I passed one on my vacation up north. How does it compare to BPS?

I go to bps about 2 times a year even though i have one an hour away from me believe it or not i went a few days ago and only spent $15. Im fortunate enough that i can get most of the stuff i need from walmart, Even though the closest walmart to me is 30 mins away. So either way i have to drive a good ways .

Well, BPS is alot further for us to go to, but my mom wants to go, but dad has no want to go there. I would want to go, they have more bass gear IMO, but are more expensive. Cabelas and BPS both have some of the smae stuff, but you wont see KVD or Clunn in Cabelas products.
So, I am just lookin forward to the tackle high I will have after getting the stuff.

That Was Always My Understanding That Bps Had More Fishing Stuff And Cabelas Was More Geared Towards Hunting.

Sorry Guys have to disagree with you all. IMHO Cabelas has more stuff than BPS, although BPS has more cd's and tapes on fishing and better pros. I hit Cabelas, in Hamburg, Gander Mt in NY and BPS in Harrisburg every few weeks. My mine job is firearms instructor and I get a lot of my stuff from Cabelas.
For those living in New Jersey, try a trip to Gallans. When I worked there last year, they were very close to Cabelas and BPS. In fact they fell inbetween the two. Dick's bought them out, however the two old Gallyan stores one in Woodbridge, and the other in Freehold still carry some quality items.

Cabelas has more stuff, but BPS has better fishing equipment. I love the hunting selection at Cabelas.
