Smile OK, I'VE HAD ENOUGH!.....so someone HELP ME...please.

Now the 'Monkey's Target".

Luck "E" Strike...Twiddle Tails Grubs.
No picture yet. And I can't find any Website that even talks about them.
They are and have been 'out of production' for YEARS. Since the first year they went out of 'unannounced' production I've watched for them. The first couple years 'the Monkey' was able to find and hoard them from a couple places.

Nada since!
NO ONE has even a similar product.
Google 'paddle tail grubs' or 'thumper tail grubs' ...nothing
Ebay...nothing.

It's like I'm the only guy who's ever heard of them.
I as most know, started as a Crappie angler. Same passion as now but different target. Shore Busting year round can be challenging when Crappies the target. Then I used 2" grubs. But since the transition, 3" and 4".
The best Road Runner grub I've ever seen.
Smallies LOVE them.

Anyway,
Till a picture...these grubs look like any standard 'trational' grub. No difference at all until the VERY TIP of the tail. Then there's a small paddle. Just like a paddle tail swim bait but real thin like a grub tail.
Now the factory in Cassville, Mo. ( got sick of my calls I think) connected me with Myrna from Buehler Sales in Cassville. She's doing a search AND seeing if the factory has a back room stash.

Ya the Crappie sites don't have them either. Not even two inchers.
Now I could rave about how great these are and the whys, but I DO NOT THINK YOU WANT THEM! And if you have some, NOW is the time to unload them!

Seriously, any and all leads are wanted...Please
and Thank You.

Ok anglers, first, I've been talking to the factory reps for sometime.
The factory will run me some....but only if the order will result in a full run.
They also tell me EVERY YEAR, that they are considering putting them back in production.
YES, I have sought out individual plastic makers. NO ONE has a mold.
Remember, I can't even find them on Ebay.

Now I need to be clear...this is a serious search I'm doing

Traditional Curly Tail Grubs with a paddle tail.

I guess I AM the only one who has heard of them. Myrna and I, that is.

So no-one misunderstands...I truly appreciate ALL the help.
And the stock number is, R2TT-39-10.
The-36, I believe is a size reference.
The -10, I believe is a color reference. In this case...Lem Yell CH GL. Lemon, yellow, chartreuse, Glitter

"Traditional Curly Tail Grubs with a paddle tail."

Joe help me help you. If you remove Curly Tail From your sentence above you are left with ____Traditional Grubs with a paddle tail.____ If those Brewer grubs aren't what you want I'm stumped. You want a fatter body on it? Buy a gut load of your fav "traditional" curly tail grub and a matching # of Charlies and cut/glue the paddles to your liking? If you somehow manage to find just ONE of the original ones send it to me and I'll have a friend of mine cast an 2-piece cnc mold. for a small 5 cavity mold only costs 30-40 bucks.
Still not really understanding what your looking for....try to find a pic.

No,check the link I posted...a curly tail grub.
Now add the sliders paddle to the tip of the traditional curly tail..you have a Twiddle Tail.

Call me lazy but no way, no how am I going to to try and melt or glue (which wouldn't work) to a thin curly tail grub.
But yes Ken, that IS exactly the look and action we are searching for.

mule, and again EVERYONE thanks for the help!

I don't want to over sell these things because you DO NOT WANT them!
But you see the pictured road runner....it has caught a few fish.

Now the beauty of these things is you get extreme tail movement under the very SLOWEST retrieve all the way up to burning them.
The paddle not only causes tail movement but kind of pulls the tail backwards. Meaning straight presentation under ALL speeds.
Now they are great on road runners because a road runners ideal speed is...as slow as possible.
But you have to see these things on a ball head or darter jig and doing a pull and drop presentation. The flutter on the fall is flat out amazing.
And I assume the paddle thumps or something sending signals to some lateral line or something.

BUT

Now even though this all sounds good. Like Roland says, "I can make anything sound great".
You DO NOT want to waste your time on these. But PLEASE continue to help me find them!

They look like FACTORY SECONDS to me...

I'm betting you could make your own pretty easily. Would not take much to make a mold of the small paddle, melt some plastic, hold the tail in the mold and pour a few drops of the plastic in. They will solidly bond almost immediately. I'm in for royalities if this takes off.

I'm not understanding the factory seconds.
You obviously know the one on the road runner is used.
The plastic connecters are to keep paddles from squashing.
These were in huge supply back whenever.
The pack is 2" grubs for crappie and the road runner has a 3" grub, little thicker but not alot.

Crappie boys know about these for years.
I'm getting a call from Myrna today, we'll see what she works out with the factory folk.

Yes you would think this would be a no brainer do-it-yourself project. But I'm not so sure anglers realize the challenge of adding a thick paddle to an extremely thin peice of plastics.
I have found no one who has a mold.
Heck you can get worms with thumper tails, who needs that?
But again, no molds like this..

joe, YEARS ago i have seen these being used a LOT for crappie fishing. the action is vicious for such a small lil grub. when i am out ont he "worlds longest yard sale" i'll look for them. sometimes oyu will be amazed at what oyu can find during that event. rods, reels, lures. it's all there. oyu jsut have to know what to look for. some folks don't know what they got. others think they got something they don't. i'll keep you in mind though ok?

Factory Seconds? ie: rejects, something that did not turn out as planned. An error during manufacture. "It was a joke, son, I say a joke", Foghorn Leghorn 1961.

John thanks for your kindness, plus someone who has seen and used them.
Thought Soutern Pro would have a similar model, nope.

Bruce you know I barely understand what I post....you know I can ONLY follow your thinking maybe 20% of the time.

I'll keep an eye out for them in the upcoming flea markets. You'll be surprised at what one finds at these things. One man's trash is another Joedog's favorite bait........

Smitty, I thank you.
You and John are I think are on the right trail.
Soutern anglers I figured would have some...maybe.

My guess is, since they are out of production and some dummies really know they're ability...no one is parting with many.
but I also feel very strongly that, if they CAN be found, my freinds atBF.com WILL find them!

Smitty and everyone, thank you for all your efforts!
