I actually fished with a gulp worm for the first time a few nights ago , it held up well and caught fish but so did my regular rubber worms .

cool. i guess i will have to give them a try. i lost a rapala to a big brown bullhead, so i think i will try and catch him again with the crawlers. ( it was in a small pond)

if you ever get a hold that bullhead, and your rapala is still in there... you better take a photo.

my grandpa told me a story about that, once.
he caught the same fish a year later, with the lure still in his mouth, but he was considerably smaller, i guess he couldnt eat to well with a rapala stuck in his mouth. the sinking minnows, are heavy, and i call them the shrinking minnows. i guess the have alcohol in them, and it evaporates, because i left one out in my box, and a week later it was a 3" hard bait

a fella that me and netman fish with, flipped a worm under a pier and broke a fish off on a hook set, backed off from the pier, re-tied and flipped back up under there and caught the same fish with his line and worm still hanging out of the fishes mouth...talk about luck.

Gulp -- hate the stuff, refuse to use it.

Not that great a product. Do not leave on the hook you will not get it off. never had any luck with it.

Gulp may catch fish but it sucks when it gets hard on your hook which is pretty quickly
I would use it, powerbait products are better in my opinion |

I think the gulp gets me a few more bites when the fishing is tough. Just remember to leave it in its original package and make sure it is sealed good, otherwise you will be left with little sticks that are completely useless.

I have caught a ton of fish using Gulp, I like the worms and shad jerks, I caught a 4 pounder just last week on the shad jerk, rigged texas style.

The first year it came out I caught fish everywhere with the watermelon/red flake sinking minnow. They're too stiff though, wacky-rigging doesn't give them much action. For some reason they stopped producing for me after that first year.

I don't like the minnows, but the crawlers are quickly becoming my faves for wacky worms! It's almost like cheating!
