Smile Finally found my 'short' rod!

OK, get your mind out of the gutter!

This is the final chapter in my search for a short pole to fish the shore.
As most know, every spring I fish the shore grappling with mud, weeds, trees etc.
Carry two three 'exspensive' poles through that garbage alone is a hassle much more finding room to cast and flip and what not.
No room.

Bass Pro's Shorty Poles was about as close as I could find.

Well not any more!
Check these little babies out!

Bama should enjoy this video too.

Explanation,

Now the BEST part,
CHECK ACCESARIES!
Yes rod builders....I can 'try' and talk one of you pole builders into making one even.
They sell the pole WITHOUT the grip for like $20 bucks. Now the one I'm thinking of is $30.

Now I'm thinking, I got a new toy already and the shore fishing may not see me quite as often this year.

Sure enough...I take one last look and BAM...Kayak King version.
Wow that CRAZY Monkey just sneaks up everywhere!
These folks even got a Fly Rod version.

And finally,

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Have you had the chance to actually check these out, Joe?
They seem very gimmicky to me.

2 of the things that really have me callin foul are:
A guy holding one while he's standing next to a bass boat and them having a kayak version.
The kayak version almost seems like their trying to convince kayak fishermen that they need shorter rods.

I hope they work out for you but check them out as much as possible

Ya, I'm in know way committed, (at least untill I buy one).

First reaction....'POCKET FISHERMAN'

That's why I added the video.
And the guy in manufacturers vids. bottom two, on Crystal River, the guy only catches ONE fish. So it's probably not a setup commercial type video.

I thought of the pocket fisherman myself!
I can certainly see where that set up could come in handy.
If it works as advertised, it would be money on Deer Lake

I can't believe a steel spring rod would be sensitive at all. Possibly ok for a back county pack trip, but to use on a daily basis - not for me. His video has him throwing a reaction bait, no slow presentation worm fishing, I'm wondering if the only way to detect a bite would be the tip bobbing around on that crazy spring. I'll stay with conventional rods of graphite and composites and leave those things to the fuzzy headed, red nosed guys at Barnum & Baily (no, it's not a law firm).

That looks like something aimed at people who don't really fish. I could see my grandmother buying me that, thinking I would like it. Right or wrong, I wouldn't be caught dead using one

My mother, God Bless, got me one, one year.
Actually pull out every now and then just for the memories.

Hey, SHE also got me a couple of 'Moto Frogs' for a Birthday.
So it's not like she didn't know quality.

How she missed 'helicopter lures' I'll never know.
Guess QVC never ran them.

I think WAMMO even turned that invention down.
