Day on the lake
Got on the nuclear mudhole a week ago and came across a bunch of pads in the back end of creek. Water temps were in the 70's and figured there would be some nice bass swimming around looking for a meal. Tossed the toad for a bit.....nothing. Used the spinnerbait......nothing. Went to the shallow running crank....again nothing. Same result with plastics.
Tough day on the lake. Only caught one apiece with the chatterbait earlier in the day and got a pick of JB with a skinny keeper. Got to get back there again some time this month when the hawgmollies go on the feeding frenzy!! |

I wanted a 8+ to bust up and suck down that toad but never happened. Not even a sniff from a dink. Very tough day on the water. |
