That's some kitty, what a freakin' belly it has. Looks like Ft. Washington marina on Piscattaway Cr, if that's so I guess he was fish the northern river up by DC? I know the main channel has given up some big cats, in the area.

That fish will never swim again.. in order to claim the record it must be dead in the state of MD.
Mark my words "A 100 lb catfish will be caught by March 2013 in the Potomac" Capt Mike

Is there another story that said a kid has been listed as missing from the banks of Potomac? I think we found the culprit. Man that thing is fat!

I just read that it was released after DNR certified it.
Good news indeed. Capt Mike

That's the way it should be and very good news. Kudos to Maryland DNR and the angler for not killing this fish.

That fish is probably 20+ years old.
Glad to see it's still swimming.

People need to recognize, we got some good fishing in Virginia. The Potomac is our northern border, and produced that fish. On the southern border (with North Carolina) is Buggs Island (Kerr) Reservoir, which gave up the world record 143-pound blue last summer... I predict that we will see the world record northern snakehead come from the Potomac this year.
