Default Fishing trip on the upper Mississippi River Pool 9

I just got back the other day from a week fishing on the upper mississippi with my 82 year old father and holly cow did we knock them dead... We did not catch to many walleye's this trip but that was ok because the smallmouth and largemouth made up for it. Most of the succuess was on a DT6 Olive green craw and one day it was a Strike King double willow leaf spinner bait.. At times it did not seem to really matter what you threw, they ate it... I have to tell you this as well because I do not think it's ever happened to me before but we pulled up on a wing damn and for about an hour in a half just about every cast you got a bass, well I made a cast and boom there's the hit, I set the hook and said it feels like a really good one this time, got it up to the boat and had a nice one on the front hook and another one on the back hook, double woo hoo, took the picture and threw back to the same spot and bam another hit, I had another double, by the time the smoke settled I bet we must of caught 25-30 bass a piece i lost track.. What a morning.... I do not normally keep bass and eat them but this time I did keep a few for the frying pan... These are just a few pictures of the trip...
