Default Need some advice.......

Im fishing in a bass tournament in lovely WI. Problem is...its been raining 4 straight days and is spose to be cold and chance for rain tomorrow. The lake we are fishing is a good "worm lake". I pre fished it last week...of course it was nice then. Any one have any input on where I should look for fish in the morning......Any response would help. I could fish wacky worm(never done that) but that is the only choice i think i have in the morning.

Thanks for any response and keep up the good work on this sight. I have found it very useful!!!!!

If ya want to try a senko or tiki stick, in watermelon punkinseed, dont let the whacky rig psych you out, I use a 3/0 gammy offset to whacky rig, and have hardley ever get hung up..especially during hard bites, I let it cast out and sit, and dead stick it.....only other bait I'd recommend is the tube. same color, I am sold on watermelon punkin seed

JB,
Thanks for the input. I actually just bought a senko kit....My dad and I were just talking bout using it tomorrow morning. I've never fished them so I really don't know how to do it. Am I looking for a ridge in deeper water to use them?

Welcome to the forum!

I use a wacky rig the same places I use a regular worm, but senky-type baits are also good rigged weedless like a T-rig only with no weight. With the rain the lake may have some stain to it or even be muddy. I'd keep a spinnerbait handy, too. The more stained the water the tighter to cover I'd fish. Keep an eye on the water temp, too-if it is around 65 the big girls may be on the beds, so check the shallows. Good luck!

I think its the super slow horizonal descent that makes the bass wanna go for it..... the only thing I've ever hung up with a whacky rig is in heavy
pond scum or weeds, other than that I throw it anywhere thats wet
