Heaven Gained an angel.
This past Wednesday my grandma -- who had been living with us for almost two years with congestive heart failure -- somewhat unexpectedly passed away at the age if 73. One moment she was talking with me about how raisins can carrots really do make a good combination, and not 15 later, she was gone.
She walked out of the dinning room, sat down in a chair in the living room, said "oh, that feels weird." And than just went. Feel out of the chair onto the floor. Dad preformed CPR best be could while I dialed 911. After calling, me and my older brother ran to both neighbors who are volunteer fire fighters to see if they could help somehow. No one home. When we got back a few minutes later a police officer was here preforming CPR still. Several minutes later the first responders arrived and tried further to revive her. Still nothing. Two detectives came during the event and we kids stepped outside to answer a few questions. After the questions we sat out in the cop car for an hour or so waiting idly... eventually Dad came out and said "She's gone guys." My Grandma was the most passionate, caring, and generous person I'd ever known, and we all loved her dearly. She taught me to always be thankful for what you have, and to give willingly. We're all gonna miss her, but she's home now. Rest in peace Grandma.

Sammy my prayers are with your Grandma and your family.
I'll light a couple of candles in the morning to help guide her to her final resting place.

That's sad to hear Sam. Like John said though the good memories will last a lifetime. 40+ yrs ago me, my mother, my sister and my Grandmother were all shelling peas out in the dog run when my Gma looked like she just decided to nod off. To this day I'll never forget all the wonderful things she taught me.

My deepest condolences Sammy. Your Grandma is home now, like you said. Life can be a fragile thing sometimes. Always let the people you love know how much you love them.

Thanks you all so much for the prayers, thoughts and condolences. A truly cannot express my gratitude.
We're having a memorial at the long time family church in Bruce, Wisconsin the 9th of next month. We're a tight knit group over there, just like here. Again, thanks so much everyone!

Sam, I can't say enough, how sorry I am to hear about the loss of your grandma. I lost all my grandparents long ago, and I still miss them. Just try to remember the lessons she taught you while she was with you. To be the kind of man she wanted you to be. There is no better way to carry on her legacy. And I am sure she will be checking in on you from time to time. My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend.

My condolences Sammy. It's never easy when a loved one passes, it's inevitable, but never easy when the day comes. Find strength and comfort in your faith Sam and keep your memories of her with you always.
