The forum

I just want to take a bit of time to say thank you to Kevin and all the members of this forum.

You see over the past few days there's been a lot of drama at another non-fishing related forum. It has a political forum so there's always fighting in that forum. And I really used to enjoy going there as long as I stayed out of the political section. Well it spilled over into the other catagories and even into other forums in a manner that is discusting even for a polital forum. People posting jabs at other peoples personal problems and habbits straight out on the board. Name calling, cussing, each other's families... nothing seems to be off limits there anymore, I've even seen it said that somebody deserved a desease they had been afflicted with. And that site has mods..... that are right there in the thick of the drama.

I just want to thank you guys for giving me a place to chat where folks care about each other and are respectful to each other. I means a lot more to me than you know.

And I promise I will never invite any of those idiots over here.

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking a few days ago. This place has to be the best fishing forum on the web. It is filled with great people, and I hope it continues to be that way...

This is a great forum. I cannot express all the thanks to the members here who have enlightened me. I like it because the respect you get. No smart a$$ answers to anyone who poses a question we might have heard a ton of times before. I'd welcome anyone of you in my boat.

When I first went there, around the same time I joined here, it was a completely different place. Sad in more than a few ways.

Yeah, this forum is a one of a kind! The folks here generally get along great with each other! But like any family, we have the occasional drama!

umm you might want to note here stick..that having personally met three of the wives of some of the members.it was an honor too...

however they do tend to have a serious potty mouth problem.. now i will say i was not SHOCKED when miz lisa turned on the potty mouth.-after all she does live with you know who-
but when louann unleashed it i dam near leaped out of my boat. drill sergents have nothing on her.-of course she was pregant at the time too-

just so you know they are NOT the dainty, lace crusted types..

1/4 stick you also have an open invite when the bamas invade the tarheel state..alive or 1/2 dead thats one meeting i'll be at...

OH ya'll ain't heard NUTHIN form lisa yet. Just let someone piss her off. I stand back about 10 feet when she gets REALLY pissed at someone or something. One day i will tell the story about her thinking (which she still claims happened) she got hit by a couple of guys that drove off on her. AT NIGHT.......LATE...........AFTER SHE WENT TO THE BAR WITH A COUPLE OF GIRLFRIENDS! HAHAHAHA!!!! needless to say she scaried the crap outta those guys.
