Federation
The federation is going with the FLW. Whats B.A.S.S. going to do about that ? Loose a load of memberships ?
I know what I'm "probably" going to do. Any comments ?

Clearly B.A.S.S. should not have messed with the Federation members. I think this could be the beginning of the end for B.A.S.S. I'm dying to know what you're "probably" gonna' do!

I am guessing the lure of money (or more money for winning) is what is going to appeal to new members.
the Federation always was OK by me, BASS gave structure to all federation club members, preparing them for that shot at fishing a classic. Ohio has 1600 or more federation members that are all members of BASS. Just think what each state that participates would total up too. |

when do the state presidents go to fl?? early febuary? b.a.s.s. federation has a president for every state.
flw already said it would take all members. and put them in tbf-the bass federation-ya still get a shot at the flw championship. think 3 times as much $$$$ as the classic pays out.. so bassnman which division would you fish ?? zooker

You can get a real easy to install and free spell checker that will be in the TOOLS of every window that your type in, after you install the spell check just hit tools and it will show you every word that is misspelled and show a correct version..heres the link, you can also just highlight the word in question and go to tools.

B.A.S.S. is going downhill quickly. For some reason they forgot what got them there and WHO. They keep trying to get all these yukedy yuks on the TV thinking that will get their new generation of anglers. Most fisherman I know don't like the showoff/showboating crap. To an extent it's a lot like golf, with traditions, and roots. The folks who turn into serious fisherman usally are from the group that like the traditions, not the hype and BS we keep get shoved down our throats. The ones who like that crap usually never turn into serious anglers. Just my 20,000,000,000,000 cents, everyone has their own opinion.

BASS's big advantage was being able to get to the "grassroots" of american fishermen/women. The subscription to magazines, the Federation dues, and the biggest one of all, the way the magazine publishes article after article about that wonderful new lure that won somewhere, in reality the manufacture is paying for this type of editoral/advertisement.
By being able to be the backbone of the local bass clubs that are BASS members, it gives a breeding grounds for local talent to advance to the next level. |
