Ingram lake 8-18-10
Got up in plans to go out to a ranch in Hunt, Texas and fish my fathers friends stock tank... Couldnt even sleep last night with images of double digit bass in my head. Got up at 5, and after a 45 minute drive I arrive to find the gate locked I decide its too early to bother the two old folks with a phone call asking for the code, so i drive about 20 minutes toward home to fish Ingram Lake.. oh wait, I have a flat Take about 15 minutes trying to fix my first flat on my own, and finally get on my way. Good god, I just want to fish! Get to Ingram Lake around 6:30, to a locked boat ramp. What boat ramp is locked at 6:30 in the morning? I discover a dirt path(sorta) that went around it, and with a little 4x4 I finally make it there, and put the kayak in. While there is definatly not many double digit fish here, it has yeiled a couple in the past and you can almost always manage a small limit in a morning.
I got skunked. Oh well, always next time. Snapped a couple pics this morning. TB Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Being put through all of that, I did come to realize that with God's beautiful morning like this, catching fish is just a bonus. TB |
