I love feeding someone elses Monkey
My brother's fiance(not REALLY my brother, but id do ANYTHING for him like a brother... and ironically we look like we could be brothers) approached me about buying him some gear for his Birthday... she simply said she didnt wanna spend over $200 and wanted to get him a "pole" and a box filled with "hooky things".... so we took a trip to the BPS store in Clarksville... I took it easy on her since I just got him into the hobby and he is brand new at baitcasters...
6'6" M/Fast Berkley Lightning Rod Abu Black Max A Plano Box with about $50 worth of Shad Raps, Jigs, Trailers, and a few cheap $2 BPS lures... I managed to get out of there with less than $20 worth of flies and some Gammy Octopus hooks... |

I think in psycho-babble, that's called "transference," which means that you deflect your monkey's influence onto someone else, thereby infecting them with the disease.
Well played, sir, well played...

I'm pretty sure we go through that "transference" thing here every time someone asks about buying rods or reels or tackle - at least I know everyone did when I was fillin' up my arsenal, haha! That's a good thing, though, because I ended up with every weapon I could ever want.
