heavy action?
i have a 6 foot 6 inches baitcasting rod. its heavy action and i was wondering wait would be a good reel for it (brand, models, radio, etc.) and what kind of fishin is good for a heavy action 6 and half foot rod? thanks for the help - joshua

Most any baitcaster would work-just depends on how much you want to spend. I use both BPS Extreme reels and Daiwa Team Advantage Performance Tuned 153HSTs.
Heavy action rods are best for single hook baits IMO. I do all my jig fishing on heavy action rods. I feel like I get a better hookset with a H action on these baits.

I've been using a 6-6 H action for jigs for several years-no problems at all.

I´ve never seen a heavy ACTION rod in my life, action can be extra fast, fast, moderate fast or slow. POWER can be from Ultra Light all the way up to XX Heavy.
Action and power are not the same. |

and actually some rods do have heavy on it for its action, i also have some that say med act as well.
