Buckeye Wake Up wake bait
I've been aware of these baits for awhile but haven't actually seen one in person. I've been tempted to buy one a few times but they are kind of pricey. Do any of you own this bait or ever fished it? It's a long, skinny balsa wake bait with a circuit board lip. TW has them on sale right now. I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it.

I haven't used on yet either, but they have been on my "baits to try someday" list for a while now. Maybe now would be a good time to order one.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking too.

Just an expensive shallow running jerk bait with most of the time not going quite deep enough.
As a wake bait not enuff meat ,for me anyway. |

As wake baits go, I like the Lucky Craft Rick Clunn that BPS used to sell.

Lucky Craft still makes the wake bait, they just don't call it the RC anymore. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Lucky...age-LCLCW.html

I know they still sell them, but I bought a dozen when BPS cleared them out (under Rick Clunn's name) for under $11.00/ea and have them stashed away. That was in addition to the eight I already had, so I think I'm good for the rest of my fishing days as far as those baits are concerned, anyway.

What is it they say about "great minds"? Something like - they do not leave unopened soda cans in their TRUCKS during hot weather, or maybe it's POP cans.
