Lake Anna 1/16
My buddy Jay and I hit Lake Anna yesterday since it was going to be a nice day. Started at 7:30 and it was still cold. Jay started us off with a 19" Striper on a Silver Buddy. We ran down lake and noticed some bait boiling and a couple fish busting them. I throw a jerkbait to the front of a dock near the bait and was rewarded with a 4.4 lb bass. Then a few casts later I caught a 19" Striper. We decided to try a deep brushpile with the buddies and Jay snagged the tail of an 8.1 lb carp. He put up quite a fight and it took almost 10 minutes to land this fish. Right at the end of the day Jay caught a small catfish on the buddy and that would be it. A little slow but nice to catch a few fish in January. Hope the temps will stay above freezing for a while! Here's some pics from the day.

Very nice convict and largemouth addict. that is sure enough eating size striper. Not a bad carp either. I am itching to get outthere myself. IF it'll ever stop raining this weeknd i am going to take the boat and do a DEEP cleaning. Got most everything else ready.
Hit the lake as much as you can man, cabin fever got me realy bad right now. So the pics help.

Looks like a great day to me! For an ugly fish, those carp sure can be pretty.
Bama, don't feel bad on the cabin fever. Up here I'm waiting for the end of the ice age.
