The ice, it is a leavin'!!!

Had to do a job on Big Platte today....no ice. At lunch we did a quick tour of local lakes, since one of the guys isn't from this county.

We hit Little Platte (no ice, and a dead 3' Pike, even though I have never seen a Northern in that lake), Otter (ice gone within a day or two) and Bass (ice gone tomorrow for sure).
After work, I ran by Mud Lake (I started a thread about it a while back). Ice is gone, and I'm going to check it out this weekend, come hell or....NO water.

Bass season is over a month away but I'm goin 'yakin and I'm throwin some junk!!!!!

I am really excited! It's gettin close!

Thats a beautiful thing man! Have fun in that yak. Can't wait to hear your report about Mud Lake.

Keith, the weather report for this weekend isn't good, rain wise.
But it can always change!
I'm getting everything ready tonight, just in case it's an early work day tomorrow for some reason.
I even called a buddy a while ago. Told him to buy some rum and flowers for his wife, and sweet talk her into letting him come outside and play this weekend

He may not be out there, but I will!!!!
