Default Zara Spook Topwater Blow-Up 4.5 LB Bass with Video!

Went out Sunday evening to see if the topwater bite had turned on yet here in Connecticut. It was about 7:00 PM, overcast skies, calm, air temp of about 65 (water temps low to mid 60's). Tossed out the Zara Spook and had one of those torpedo topwater strikes!!! Ended up landing a nice 4.5 lb largemouth. The Zara Spook is a GREAT bait! You can cast it a country mile and the walk-the-dog action of the bait is about as good as it gets! Here's the video!!

I was wondering too, is their some brush piles, submergent grass or something?

No, this is a very deep lake..deepest part is just over 100ft. I would guess that cast landed in 15 feet of water and the strike was in 10-12. There is a very distinct weedline that forms along the shoreline of this lake and this time of year the Spook works well from shore. Once the weeds surface we'll switch to frogs.
