Default Neighbors think I'm a Redneck because....

WillC got me thinking.
Like he said, I think we ALL have done something that folks may consider us a 'Redneck'.
These tales can be flat out hilarious!

So share your Redneck story.

Start it with, "My neighbors think I'm a Redneck because I.......

Explainations are optional.

Shucks first time I was called that by a girl when at myrtle beach(back when i was much much younger, replied yeah i got some sun today,as neck was red).
Later it became known to me that it meant like backwoods ,ignorant person who would get ticked easy.
Also around same time frame learned where the name came from, miners in mingo county war wore them to tell apart from hired guns of the mine owners.5,000 us marines came in to side with the mine owners,as a result of them machinegunning a woman and a child it is forbidden for us troops to operate on us soil, against civilians.Way around that was national guard by the way.
As a net result that and eventually the company store and script went away.
Yes almost same area hatfields and mccoys had a difference, just a county or so over.
So when you call me one,I take it as an honor not as you intend, but as in the true meaning.
Also hail from west by god virginia. If I took it the way its intended then would get angry and prove their point.
Bottom line is we are really slow to anger but if and when you do call in the troops and lots ofem.
Yeah I got some sun today im a red neck.

My neighbors think I am a redneck because...

1. I pee outside
2. I have a massive STIHL weedeater for a .2 acre lot.
3. I sit in my fishing chair at the bow of my boat for hours at a time...when it's in my driveway.
4. I blast Alan Jackson, Hank Williams, and others while cleaning out my garage.
5. I never wear shoes at home...NEVER

That should be a good start.

I resemble that statement!

True Southern Rednecks are usually trying to accomplish a task at a 'reasonable' cost.
They are well aware of thier actions and actually proud to explain the logic behind the decision.

Yankee Rednecks tend to complicate a 'simple' task making it more complicated and furthur from a solution than if they would have done nothing at ALL.
Then paying someone to fix the fix.
And we will 'PROUDLY' explain why it 'SHOULD of WORKED'.

Let me explain .....
