Default custom cranks

Does anyone know what kind of paint is to use to custom airbrush crankbaits? If anyone has any links to lure painting/making I sure would appreciate it. Robzilla sent me a link A while back but had to reload o/s and had lost all my info. Just got an Airbrush and compressor yesterday and bought a bunch of enamel paints for modeling. I knows those will work ok on plastic baits but finding chartruese might prove to be a bit daunting. Also, is there a better paint to use for plastic that is different than what one would use for wood cranks? Any information on the subject will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Basstech.

Go to tackleuderground.com try to stay away from enamel paint when your starting off. it's hard to use and its hard to clean out of your gun. try to use a water base paint like createx, washes off when you make misstakes and come in a wide range of colors, and cleans up in a jiffy. give me a private message and I'll hook you up if need be I'll give you some links and what not.

I was waiting for your answer, too. What kind of airbrush is good for a beginner to start with?

Iwata is a good cheap brand to use and the quality is next to none. just make sure to get a dual action brush. make sure the paint is like a milk type consistancy, and make sure to strain it bfore you put it into the gun. the secret is the less clumps in the paint the less its going to clog the gun.then its just practice practice after that, the sky is the limit from there.1

Iwata cheap? where did you buy yours rob lol. The one i have just a nozzle is $26 and a needle is $8, and i need one about every 2 months. Iwata is the best but definately not cheap. A badger or a VL will run a lot less and work for a beginner, but if you can afford it go with what rob suggested, an Iwata.

I got three for $80 a piece on sale up here at curry's art supply. Not too bad for replacement parts.
