Default Shakey Head, Part II

Well, I took Reb's advice and decided to use my Wild River for D.S.'s, and to buy a new rod for Shakey Heads .

With that being said, what rod should I be looking at exactly? I already have a few brands in mind, but I need to know actions, lengths, powers, lure weights, etc. I will mainly be fishing Shakey Heads from 1/8-3/8 oz - nothing too big.

And with a rod, you also need a reel. (This rig will be Spinning by the way). I was/am looking at the new line of Shimano Spinning reels. (See: Shimano Stella, Stradic, Sustain, Saros). The Saros and Stradic are very nice looking, and in my price range. Has anybody had any experience in this new(er) line of reels?

Thanks for all the help,

-Lunk-

I use two rods for shaky head or as I like to call it a jig worm. They are my finesse rods but one is a 7' ml shimano rod with a quantum reel which is my primary finesse rod. The second is a 6'2 ml St. Croix rod with a quantum reel and 6 lb vanish, this is my REALLY finesse rod. I love them both and work very well for the jig worm... lol. I like Medium lights cause the softer tips can detect subtle bites!
Good fishin

As posted earlier, I like a G. Loomis "Shakey Head" rod, they are designed for using a shakey head. The Shimano is a good reel. I use a 2000 but they have redone these to make the spool free floating and yes they are more expensive.
