Default Video of the 11 pounder

Unbelievably, I didn't cuss out of excitement from landing her. But you guys have some laughs at my expense because my comments and noises are pretty interesting when I watch it back.

I am loving my hatcam too. This was the best investment, besides my boat, I have made for fishing.

Based off of her measurements (24" long, 19.5" girth) and the bass calculator, she came in a hair above 11. I hope to catch her again this weekend with a scale in hand to be perfectly sure of her weight. I also want to take a few more photos with a tape measure so I can get a good replica made. My boss, who took, the photo thinks she is 12 or 13. I think that is a bit high so I am sticking with the measurements/calculator until I land her again and actually weigh her with a scale.

FnG, I really don't want to doubt you at all. I believe you %100 when it comes to the measurement.

But the bps calculator says it would be 9.36 pounds. Still whatever it was, a wonderful fish. And maybe your calculator is better. Come to think of it, I want your calculator.

Great fish man!

I'm certainly not going to speculate on the weight of your fish, it was really big.

In general I think the weight calculators are great to give you a ball park idea of how big a fish is. I definitely wouldn't trust one for any kind of real accuracy though.

I definitely agree. That is why I want to catch her again before I get a replica made. My numbers were done in somewhat of a haste as it took me a little longer to get the photo and she was out of the water too long for my liking. I wanted to get her back in the water before it was too late. Maybe this weekend will be better pics with a true scale weight.

All that being said and holding her, there is no doubt in my mind she is over 10 lbs. And there is no doubt in my mind that I will catch her again soon. I want to catch her next year around late April / early May when she is FULL of eggs.
