Default We got Academy Sports, and my monkey found out!

Long story short, I got a new rod, Berkley Cherrywood 6" MH, a Pflueger Crterion, some 20# Sufix Performance Fuse braid, utility boxes, and a ton a of new lures and terminal tackle. I am looking into a larger bag, and a new Ambassador round caster. I also got a portable rod carrier online.

In the past few days I have been doing some fishing and I have a few fish to show off.

Got this 3.03 pounder with my new reel, and a rod that I took back to get the Cherrywood.

This lil' 15 ouncer swallowed an 8" shakyhead worm and 1/8 jig.

First one on a shakyhead fluke!

A very hard fighter that weighed in at 3 pounds 12 ounces.

1.06 pounder from tonight.

Carla's biggest fish ever! A 3 pound 13 ounce bass she caught tonight on a light action ugly stick and a watermelon red flake shakyhead worm.

Nice fish John. Academy is awesome, the H20's can't be beat for the price. Also check out Big Bite Baits, good soft plastics at a really good price.

Good looking fish. I'm gonna hide some of the money I'm gonna make in Guam and buy some more stuff too. I'm addicted to soft plastics.

Impressive haul, John.

Impressive fish, as well. Even the little ones are fun to catch. They just exude youth, vitality, and aggression.

As for Academy, I vascillate daily between cursing and thanking God there isn't one near me.

Beat you to it man! I already got some shakyhead and swimbait hooks from them. I looked at their soft plastics too, and they look great. I will probably pic a few bags up next time I am there.

Thanks bro. I sure hope everything goes well for you over there. I'm gonna miss fishing with you. You'd better be ready when you get back!

I know this sounds goofy... but Big Bite Bait company makes the Lunkerville kit... and it is the only way I would ever buy a kit of baits. But they are all well salted and scented big bite baits... and they are all useful shapes and colors... not a wide array of stuf you will never use... so if you wann agive big bite a try... that is a good way to give em a shot...

I got a new 4'6" UL Shakespeare Micro Graphite rod at Wal-Mart for panfishing. I put a micro spin reel on it and spooled it up with 4# trilene, and took it out to the lake today. I caught some nice brim using Berkley power bait maggots and glup worms. it's a pretty sweet little rod!
