Visited Academy this afternoon.
The last time I went fishing all my fish were caught on a square bill crankbait in their H2O Xpress line in Chartruese sexy shad pattern. I had only one in that color. When I looked today they were marked reduced for $1.88. I picked up 2 more.

The H20 sq bills are great baits. They are a steal at their regular price, for $1.88, nothing else even comes close.

I really wish they would build an Academy around these parts. I hear a lot of good things about their crankbaits. Sounds like you got a great deal.

Most of the H2O cranks are on sale - on line - for under $3.00. Good baits, great price, if you hang 'em up, just break them off - I pay more for a single tungsten weight for crying out loud. I really don't know how they do it. The quality of the H2O baits (IMO) far exceed the quality of the "store brand" lures of DOI and Cab's, at less money AND THEY catch fish.

I have found them to be compareable to most baits I buy elsewhere. I like their square bill baits & poppers.
