OK Crankbait Fiends...
Ok, so Friday we get a steel workers bonus of 1410 bucks, probably take 950 home and getting new flooring but have several hundred put back for crankbaits only..I lost all the good ones last year..
Any thoughts on a favorite crankbait ya just cant do without? I already plan to get several more bandits and some DT6 's any input is appreciated |

Watch it!!! Zooker may post a couple dozen photos or so with that request
RC 1.5's and 2.5's are sweet when you get them on sale. Fat BDS 2.0 (3.0 and 4.0 too) can be deadly also. They are all great shallow running baits. I like the older Deep Wee R's. I don't like the new colors or paint. Of course you have to get a few DD14's and 22's. Maybe a deep little N or two. |

The bait monkey just got out his whoopin' stick, JB. Watch it. He'll bend you over the counter at BPS if you're not careful...
For the most bang for your buck, what about www.jlvlures.com I think Zooker made a post about them a while back, said he likes their stuff. |

I'm a big fan of Bandits and Bomber up here. I haven't been able to pull the trigger on a LC yet.

I saw some new Yozuri's that looked pretty cool, they change colors when you look at them from different angles. I believe they were asking $12

check out ebay stores like the one that lowrider mentioned, you find some good buys, custom paint jobs, lucky crafts, jackalls, wiggle warts and bandits. really all kinds.
Lucky crafts at bps are about $15.00+

JB get a Sebile magic swimmer. Nothing like watching a bass come from nowhere and hitting one of those.

That Bandit 100 and 200 in the bluegill pattern sure worked well for me last year. One bait I'm going to be sure to look at this spring is the Rapala DT Fat series, specifically the DTFATSS01 and 03. They look good for very shallow cranking. I'm also going to be sure to take a look at the new Spro BBZ-1 swim bait and the Tru Tungstin Tru Life 4 inch swim baits. And yeah JB, grab a handfull of those DT6's. They really can catch a limit in a hurry.

If you know anyone SOUTH of the Mason Dixon, and they will shop for you - check out Academy Sports line of H2O baits. They appear to be made from copies of Lucky Craft baits. Paint jobs are not quite as good as a Lucky Craft, but at $4.00 they are priced right. I have heard many good reports - but do not have any myself, mine are mostly the "original" Lucky Craft. Link:
http://www.academy.com/index.php?pag...H20+CRANKBAITS Unfortunatel they don't do internet or mail orders. BUMMER. |

My fishing partner in my last tourney was throwing the Strike King 5 series and he said they have been hot. First cast of the day netted 6.5#. Within 15 cast, and another 4#. They are reasonable priced, too around 4 or 5 bucks.
