I have probably 30 combos but only about 10 of them are in the regular lineup. The ones I carry almost every trip are;
dropshot rod 6' 8" crucial M/L 1000 symetre FJ
shakeyhead rod 6' 8" St.Croix LTB M 2500 Symetre FJ
popper/jerkbait rod 6' 2" St.Croix Avid Curado 50e
spinnerbait/buzzbait rod 6' 6" St.Croix Mojo Revo S
crankbait rod 7' Skeet Reese Curado 200e5
worm rod 7' St.Croix Mojo M BPS Rick Clunn power fishing reel
trap rod 7' St.Croix Premier M Curado 200B SF
swimbait rod 7' St.Croix Mojo H Curado 200B
pitching rod 7' St.Croix Mojo M/H Curado 200e7
flipping rod 7' 3" St.Croix LTB M/H Curado 200e7
My favorite one is which ever one I'm catching a fish on at the moment.

I have 7 rods, 5 baitcasters and 2 spinning. In the process of adding another baitcaster.
7'6" heavy power rod with braid for frogging and pitching slop.
7' medium heavy with braid that will be for jigging and t-rigging.
Two are 6'6" MH, one for spinnerbaits and such, the other for deep cranks.
6'6" M for shallow cranks and topwater.
6' MH I'll use for walking topwaters like Spooks, also for short-range spinnerbaits.
Spinning setups for shaky heads, wacky Senkos, whatever other light lures I want to use.

11 Baitcasting combos.
6 Spinning reel combos
7 spincast combos
6 Flyrod set-ups.

This count does not include all the set-ups I bought for my kids which are in storage.

The spincast combos come in handy for loaning because they are pretty much idiot-proof. I like them for catfishing too.

In the mess I have on my deck -

Casting:
1 Frog rod (hollow)
2 Jig rods
1 Swim bait (hollow bodied)/buzz frog.
3 Worm/plastics
4 Crankbait
3 Spinnerbait (favorites)

Spinning:
2 medium for finesse/drop shot
1 short MH for skipping baits
2 MH for fishing tubes and swimming plastics

Did I hear someone say "trolling rigs"? Bryce, you taking that Avalance into the salt now? I know, I know, you'll educated me at the Hollow next year.

Does one of your spinning setups have a wave spinning reel on it?

I have 8 casting setups (7 that I use regularly) and 2 spinning.

Casting:

6'6" MH F (not used regularly) - spooled with mono and usually used for topwaters.
7' M M - 12lb mono used for 1/4 and under cranks (usually shallow divers).
7' MH XF - 20lb braid/10lb leader used for t-rigs, finesse jigs, pitching light baits, wacky rig, shaky head.
7' H F - 30lb braid used for pitching and frogs.
7'3" MH F - 12lb Seaguar InvisX FC used for senkos and spinnerbaits mostly.
7'6" MH F (Glass) - 12lb Floroclear used for cranks over 1/4oz (mostly med and deep divers) also for some small swimbaits (4" Spro).
7'6" MH F - 15lb CXX used for swimbaits and big topwaters.
7'8" H F - 15lb Sunline Super FC used for jigs (1/4-3/4oz)

Spinning:

7' M F - 2000 sized reel with 10lb braid/8lb FC leader. not used often, but for wacky rig, shaky head, general finesse spinning reel stuff.
7'2" M F - 2000 sized reel with 10lb braid/6-8lb FC leader. Dropshotting.

I have about 10 total. Carry about 5 fishing usually. Three baitcasters and two ultralite openface spinning outfits. The three baitcasters with different lures that change before I go onto the water each time to be ready for current conditions and using 40 years of experience ( which sometimes works sometimes not) what I think will work on that day.

I also like to catch Crappie, bluegill on ultralite. Carry two. one for a backup.

Good luck and God bless.

Many of the tournament guys have multiple identical rigs to avoid a lot of retying to change baits. You can get by with three rods for bass fishing:

7' MH/F casting for jigs/plastics and spinnerbaits 1/2oz>
7' MH/Mod for cranks and other trebel hook lures
7' M/F spinning for jigs/plastics <1/2 oz

If you want to get into technique specific rods, you might add:

6'8" ML/XF spinning Drop Shot/ weightless plastics, finesse
7'6" Hvy/F casting flipping, pitching, frogs
6'6" M/F skipping, top water

You could sub-divide these categories and add a few more even.
