Difference in Rapala DTs
I was looking at normal Rapala DTs and the Rapala DT Sure Sets. The Sure Sets are about $2-4 more than the normal DTs. Is that price difference only because of the hooks? Or is there something different with the bait itself also? Know it's a stupid question, but do appreciate any responses.

As far as I can tell, the only difference is the hooks?

Only difference I see is, the David Fritz Sure Set model has the sure set hook and a different finish - metalic paint - if that is the one you're talking about. Not that I think it's worth $2 more. Anyway, the way you paint Marc I certainly wouldn't worry about the "stock finish" and I don't like the sure set hooks either. I have a couple Rapala lures that came with that hook and replaced it (both actually) with Owner ST trebles. So if you'e going to repaint them, I'd say go with the originals.

Alright guys, thanks a lot. I'll stick with the cheaper ones.

I noticed that too, and arrived at the same conclusion as you.

If you are just buying them to repaint then keep an eye out for sales. I think that in the winter Gander Mountain usually has a lot of the less popular colors for half off.
