I'd say very good, that rod usually retails for around $365, so looks like a good deal as long as it is not a repaired or factory second.

Seller says it's a display model.

I have seen display models that have a little wear on them, mainly in the form of things that are very minor. Discolored or slightly damaged cork in the form of very small chips on the edges of the grips, minor scratches on the rod, and the biggest thing I have seen is the tip top being scratched anywhere from a little to lot, as in bare metal. I believe the tip top gets damaged from people dragging it on the floor of shops to check the sensitivity of the rod, or placing it on the shop floor and flexing the rod to check the action or to see if the guides were aligned to the spine. I am not saying this is the case with the rod you purchased, just trying to give you an idea of some things to check out once you recieve it. Minor stuff would not bother me at all for the price you got it at, damage to the tip top would bother me a little more.

Let us know how it looks once you receive it.

Congrats on the great deal! I got my Loomis on eBay, as well as most of my reels.

The Loomis MBR series of rods are great. Between my dad and I we have: 782, 843 and 844. All are great rods. I think you'll really like it.
